Janusz Korczak is known to all mainly for his
heroic walk to death with the children of the Jewish orphanage he ran, despite the opportunity he was given to save himself. Korczak - The writer, doctor, person and educator educated for the love of the child and demanded to give children human rights. Korczak's life's work is raises humanistic, civic and democratic values that are also reflected in his stories and writings. The Headquarters for Civil Education and Coexistence is a opartner of the Volunteer Project "Israel reads Korczak", initiated by the Korczak Educational Institute of Israeli in collaboration with the Polish Institute in Israel. The project is designed to promote the same values according to which Korczak lived and worked, and are the essence of the headquarters for civic education and coexistence. At the core of the project are short videos in which people from all corners of Israeli society read short stories written by Janusz Korczak. The role of the Civil Education and Coexistence Headquarters in the project is in the development of lesson plans that combine democratic and civic values and open a window to Korczak's educational doctrine from a civic perspective.
